  • Dr. Kumaresan Ramanathan, a distinguished researcher and academician, hails from the traditional village of Kaarugudi in Tiruchirappalli District, Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Biochemistry, followed by a doctoral degree in the same field. His passion for research and clinical diagnostics has significantly contributed to the fields of nephrology and cardiovascular diseases, particularly in identifying and evaluating biomarkers for early detection. Dr. Ramanathan's dedication to science is evident from his numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences. He has actively presented his work on various topics, including managing secondary hyperparathyroidism, using glycated albumin and hemoglobin in diabetic chronic kidney disease, and the role of serum cystatin C as an early marker for contrast nephropathy. His work has garnered recognition and accolades, including best oral presentation medals and cash prizes.
