- Ayman Abdel-Aziz Swelum BVS, MS, PhD Prof. Swelum graduated in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine from Zagazig University in Egypt. He earned his MS (2006) and Ph.D. (2010) in Theriogenology from Zagazig University. Prof. Swelum started his career in Egypt and maintains an ongoing affiliation with the university there, teaching and doing research on large animal Theriogenology. Prof. Swelum worked as an Assistant Professor of Theriogenology at Zagazig University until 2010. He then accepted a position as Associate Professor of Theriogenology and animal production at King Saud University in 2010 and continued there until now. He is now a professor and head of the Theriogenology research team at king Saud university and Zagazig University, providing clinical service and conducting research in animal reproduction. Prof. Swelum devoted most of his career to teaching Theriogenology and animal production and conducting applied research on animal reproduction and production. He received several awards recognizing his excellence in teaching, research quality, and clinical practice as State Encouragement Awards in the field of agricultural sciences from the Academy of Scientific Research & Technology, Egypt and the Almarai Award branch of the Excellent researcher in the veterinary science and Publons Peer Review Awards plant and animal science, and cross-field. Dr. Swelum provided large animal reproductive medicine continuing education programs for veterinarians worldwide. He is the author of over 220 scientific research articles. He reviewed over 740 manuscripts, books and book chapters, and projects. Prof. Swelum is the author of several book chapters. He is an editorial and reviewer board member in many scientific journals. He is an active member of many societies and associations.
