- Dr. Li-Juan Deng, M.D., PhD, is currently an associate professor at School of traditional Chinese medicine, Jinan University. In recent ten years, Dr. Deng has been woking on drug discovery from natural products. Her research has been focused on isolating natural products from traditional Chinese medicine and evaluating their anti-depression, anti-inflammatory, or anti-cancer activities in a variety of models in vivo and in vitro, discussing the structural-activity relationship, and investigating the action mechanisms. During past years, her group has been well funded by NSFC and companies. Dr. Deng is an editorial board member of Oncology Letters and a reviewer of more than 10 peer reviewed journals.
