- Prof. Byung-Moo Min Dr. Byung-Moo Min is an Emeritus Professor at Seoul National University (SNU) School of Dentistry where he has been a faculty member for over 34 years since obtaining his D.D.S (SNU School of Dentistry, 1980) and Master’s and Ph.D. degrees (Biochemistry, College of Medicine, Graduate School of SNU, 1989). Dr. Min has served as the Chair of the Department of Oral Biochemistry (1991-2009), the Program in Maxillofacial Regenerative Medicine (2003-2009), and the Program in Cancer and Developmental Biology (2009-2013). He has also shown his outstanding leadership as a Director of the SNU Dental Research Institute (2011-2013) and the Brain Korea 21 Craniomaxillofacial Life Sciences Research Program (2008-2013) as well as Department Chair of Life Sciences in Dental Medicine (2012-2015). He has also been a member of the SNU Senate since 2010 to 2018 and served as the Senate Vice-Chair from 2014 to 2015. He is also a life-time member of The Korean Academy of Science and Technology. He was awarded the Order of Science and Technology Merit (Ungbi Medal) in 2018 and the Order of Service Merit (Red Stripes) in 2020 by the Government of the Republic of Korea. Dr. Min’s major research interests include oral carcinogenesis, keratinocyte biology, and peptidomics for tissue engineering. Dr. Min has received funding as principal investigator for over 30 research projects from the National Research Foundation of Korea and the Korean National Government. He has also led group research grants on tissue engineering and Senior's Oral Health Care with Clinicians, as well as collaborated with clinical and basic scientists in group grants of the Engineering Research Center and the Science Research Center.
