- Dr Emmanouil Karteris is a Reader at Brunel University London and Head of Cancer Biomarkers and Cellular Endocrinology Laboratory (www.cbcel.org). He gained his BSc degree in Medical Biochemistry (University of Surrey, 1995), MSc in Medical Genetics (Brunel University 1996) and his PhD (Warwick University, 2000). Dr Karteris has a respectable publication record (h-index 29; i10-index 58) and presented over 100 abstracts in leading international conferences. His lab has expertise in using liquid biopsies for cancer biomarker development. His lab also investigates the role of endocrine disruptors in health and disease. Dr Karteris also has expertise IP law and in setting up clinical studies in close collaboration with oncologists in the UK and abroad.
