- Jean-Louis Merlin received his Pharm.D from the University of Lille, France in 1983 and his Ph.D from the University Henri Poincaré, Nancy, France in 1992 and has been appointed as full-time Professor of Cellular Oncology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Université de Lorraine since 2004. Originally head of the Oncology Research Laboratory of the Institut de Cancérologie de Lorraine Alexis Vautrin, French national Cancer Institute in 1988, jean-Louis Merlin has been heading the Tumor Biology Unit, Biopathology department since 2005. member of the Executive Committee of the Institute and Director of research department since 2017, he is now also leading the translational and clinical research department of the Institute. His main field of activity concerns clinical and translational research in molecular genetics.
