- Dr. Roland Kappler is Professor of Molecular Human Genetics at the Ludwig-Maximilians University (LMU) Munich. After stays at the University of Kaiserslautern, the Helmholtz Center Munich, and the University of Goettingen in the field of tumor genetics, he became Principle Investigator at the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Hauner Children’s Hospital Munich. His major research interest is to understand the biology of hepatoblastoma in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment of children with liver cancer.
