- The research has a major focus on the hematological malignancy acute myeloid leukaemia (AML); an aggressive disease that can be cured only by intensive chemotherapy eventually in combination with stem cell transplantation. Our main research areas are: Biological and functional characterization of primary human AML cells and their interactions with stromal elements Experimental studies of efficiency and toxicity (especially immunotoxicity) of both new targeted therapies and already established therapeutic strategies in human AML.
