- Dr.Hermenean is a full professor at the Histology Department, Faculty of Medicine of Vasile Goldis Western University, Arad and associated to Politehnica University of Bucharest (Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages) and University of Bucharest (Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Biology). She received her Ph.D. from the Electron Microscopy Center at the Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca in 1994 and Habilitation in Biology by Ministry of Education Decision no.4922/18.08.2015. She was visiting professor of “Luigi Vanvitelli” University of Campania, Department of Experimental Medicine (2021-2022). The scientific contributions are in the research field of phytomedicine and drug-delivery, contributing to outstanding of molecular regulation of the anti-fibrotic responses of phytochemicals and different formulations, modulation of signal transduction pathways by phytochemicals, interactions between phytochemicals and different drugs or chemicals; tissue engineering, studying tissue repair and regeneration pathways, with a focus on histopathological analysis, specific molecular signals, growth factors, and molecular recognition; nanobiotechnology, focusing on bio-interfaces characterization, in vivo biocompatibility studies of the nanoparticles/nanomaterials, characterization of the interaction between nanomaterials/nanomedicines and biological systems, in vivo assays for uptake studies. She implemented 11 grants financed by EU and 20 national grants, of which 11 as PI and she is the author and co-author of more than 106 peer-reviewed WoS Core Collection papers with a total IF=333,31, 6 monographs and 3 chapters, PI for 1 european and 3 national patents. Her H-index = 23 (WoS) and 29 (Google scholar), Citations: 2542.
