- Dr. Tsatsakis, Director of the Department of Toxicology and Forensic Sciences of the Medical School at the University of Crete, is a highly cited researcher with an extensive scientific and academic impact. He has published well over 1000 articles in scientific international journals with more than 25,000 citations. Dr. Tsatsakis has given over 200 keynote and plenary lectures in international congresses. Among many honorary titles: member of National Academy of Sciences of Russia and ex-president of the European Federation EUROTOX and Honorary Doctor and Professor in several Universities. Apart from his substantial contribution in Toxicology, the past years he is very actively involved in the research respecting chronic diseases, ageing and the overall improvement of life quality through advances in the fields of nutrition, metabolomics and pharmacogenomics.
