Short Bio
- I have been involved in human papillomavirus (HPV) – related tumorigenesis since 1990, with particular interest in the study of viral genetic heterogeneity in male genital cancers and characterization of HPV genotypes and variants in cervical neoplasia in several populations including also immunocompromised individuals. My research activity has been extended to the study of host susceptibility and accumulation of genetic alterations in the carcinogenesis of virus-driven tumors.
