Short Bio
- Professor Falasca did his PhD at Mario Negri Institute Italy and postdoctoral studies at the Department of Pharmacology, New York University, USA with Professor Joseph Schlessinger. He was a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, University College London and a Professor at the Queen Mary University of London. Professor Falasca is currently a Full Professor in Metabolism, at Curtin Medical School, Curtin University, Perth, Australia. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Parma, Italy. His major interest is the investigation of cellular and intercellular communication with a particular focus on the role of the endocannabinoid system in pancreatic cancer progression and gastrointestinal functions and on the role of extracellular vesicles in pancreatic cancer.
