Article
Following the publication of this review, an interested reader drew to our attention that a substantial amount of the text, and the majority of the results, had been misappropriated from a paper written by Dr Hong‑Ren Yu and colleagues at the Department of Pediatrics, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital‑Kaohsiung Medical Center, Taiwan, ROC [Lee WJ, Huang EY, Tsai CM, Kuo KC, Huang YC, Hsieh KS, Niu CK and Yu HR: Role of serum Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgA, IgM, and IgG in the diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae‑related pneumonia in school‑age children and adolescents”, Clin Vaccine Immunol 24: e0047116, 2017].
Following an internal enquiry, the Editor of Experimental and Therapeutic Medicine has confirmed that the claims made by the interested reader should be upheld; therefore, the Editorial Board have decided to retract the above paper from the publication. We were unable to make contact with the authors of the article published in Experimental and Therapeutic Medicine, despite every effort to do so. The Editor apologizes to the readership of the Journal for any inconvenience caused.
