Lead Editor:
Dr Jun Gong Cedars-Sinai Medical Center United States

Colorectal cancer remains the third most common cancer diagnosed in men and women globally. Given such a high public burden, there is a global research effort to improve outcomes in colorectal cancer spanning multiple disciplines. Research areas of increasing interest include understanding the biology of young onset colorectal cancer, application of liquid biopsies inclusive of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer management, integration of molecular-guided therapies, to name a few. In this special issue, we invite colleagues from across all disciplines: epidemiology, basic and translational science, genetics, nutrition, surgery, surgical oncology, hematology and oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, interventional radiology, gastroenterology, interventional gastroenterology, palliative care, and pathology to highlight recent advancements in their respective fields that have contributed to the global care of patients with colorectal cancer
